Arts Development Director
I was born and bred in Cheltenham, began working in retail before training as a Merchandiser/Design Display at Gloucestershire College. Having always been passionate about fashion and textiles I went to Newcastle University and gained a First Class Honours Degree in Contemporary Art Practice. I then went on to create various contemporary sculptural pieces that went on tour for 2 years throughout the UK. My pieces have also featured in the Arts Textile Tour.
Alongside my work as a working artist I am co-Director of Cotswoldweddings.net, a wedding photography business which I love as it combines my love of fashion and photography.
I am really excited about developing the artistic programme for Cheltenham Fashion Week bringing fashion influenced art to Cheltenham and the community. I plan on collaborating with numerous artists working in various mediums to include sculpture, photography, paintings, installations and textiles.
Fave Style Icon: Kate Moss
Fave Designers: Alexander McQueen
Favourite High Street Brand: Top Shop
Guilty Pleasure: Spending too much on Ebay!
Personal style: Not ruled by trends. Love finding bargains in charity shops and car boot. I always look for fabrics first then look to customise what I buy into something more individual.
