Kat from Does My Bum Look 40 in This? has a self confessed ‘unhealthy obsession with fashion’ and is busy exploring the ‘journey into [her] 40s, hunting to find a style that doesn’t scream mutton or frump.’ – we think she’s doing a fantastic job!

Kat’s style is chic but with a heavy dose of fun. Proof that no matter what your age, following fashion doesn’t need to be something you have to give up when you have children/reach 40/become a housewife. If you think the likes of wedge trainers and harem pants are only fit for teenagers, think again. With the right eye and good styling, no trend is out of reach.

Kat is a master of her art when it comes to shopping, with pieces in her wardrobe coming from the likes of Mulberry, Acne, Alexander McQueen all the way through to H&M, Topshop, Zara and Primark, she is a shining example of how to mix high end designer clothes with high street.

 

Accessories are key for Kat, who has an impressive collection of shoes, handbags, scarves and sunglasses. I’m a big believer in ‘it’s all in the detail’ and little touches like a statement scarf or an amazing pair of shoes, can really make an outfit that was previously basic.

Kat not only blogs outfit posts but also her internet finds for particular trends and items. Choosing items she loves from a range of online fashion stores can make reading her blog a little dangerous on the bank balance, but it’s also fantastic inspiration.
