1940’s Style Today
← Back to BlogLast Thursday I attended the launch of “Vintage Ribbons” debut collection of ready to wear, Limited Edition 1940’s inspired women swear. This is the product of collaboration between fellow burlesque performer Kitty Ribbons, based in Gloucester and tailor extraordinaire Johnny O’Connell based in Cheltenham. (Pro Photos by Stephen Moore and Snapshots by me!)
Kitty, Johnny & Me
Kitty has been collecting vintage patterns for well over 10 years, with a particular passion for the 1940’s, and decided to bring them back to life with the help of professional tailor Johnny.
There are only eight pieces in this collection – some limited to five per item – so when you buy Vintage Ribbons you know that you are buying something very unique and special.
You can view and purchase the range through the FB page: www.facebook.com/vintageribbons or by visiting The Dressing Up Box on Worcester Street, Gloucester. Go and support your local Repro Vintage designers and tailors now and get your “Land Girl” style on!
